Trilantic North America Raises $2.75 Billion, at Hard Cap

Trilantic North America, a leading private equity firm, today announced the closing of Trilantic Capital Partners VI (North America) L.P. and its parallel funds (“Fund VI North America”), a $2.75 billion private equity fund investing in the business services, consumer and energy sectors. Fund VI North America exceeded its initial target of $2.25 billion to close at its hard cap, and surpassed the size of its $2.2 billion predecessor fund.

This milestone comes on the heels of Trilantic North America’s successful sale of Home Franchise Concepts earlier this month and follows the close of Trilantic Energy Partners II North America last December. Trilantic North America is currently investing from Fund VI North America, with current investments including Sunbelt Transformer, Taymax, a Planet Fitness franchisee, and DJR Energy.

More than three-quarters of the capital commitments of Fund VI North America come from existing investors. The fund’s diverse LP base includes public and private pension plans, insurance companies, corporations, endowments and foundations, family offices and high net worth individuals.

Evercore Private Funds Group acted as global placement agent for the fundraise.

Established in 2009, Trilantic North America has maintained sustainable investing practices across the business services, consumer and energy sectors, which have resulted in 41 realized investments in the funds it has managed.
